Our Team

LISA PARKER, FOUNDER, PRESIDENT & LEAD RECRUITER

Lisa began her career in advertising and marketing, working at some of the country’s top firms – Ogilvy & Mather Direct, Wunderman Cato Johnson, Grey Direct and American Express, among others.

After 14 years in that business and 2-1/2 years as a stay-at-home Mom, Lisa embarked on a new career in recruiting and realized the overlap in skills between marketing and recruiting. She used it to her advantage to build Parker Placements NY, Inc. more than a decade ago. Before embarking on her new venture as a business owner, Lisa spent years on the agency side of the business learning and honing her skills as a recruiter before moving client side.

What sets Parker Placements apart from so many other firms, is that it puts a spin on recruiting by focusing on personalities as well as business skills, when interviewing both candidates and corporate clients.  All of Lisa’s experience and research pointed to the importance of a personality match (in addition to a skills match) when successfully placing candidates.  This led her to the development of the personality approach, the key to turning potential into promise.

Meg Doperak
MEG DOPERAK, CORPORATE RECRUITER

Meg spent 20+ years at major media companies, including Rodale, Time Inc., Meredith Corp. and Dotdash Meredith, developing and producing custom marketing programs for major advertisers such as Kraft, Starbucks, Walmart, L’Oreal, General Motors, American Express and many more. Recognizing the diverse resources to execute cross-brand and multi-platform programs at Time Inc., she established a centralized team of client facing producers/program managers with backgrounds in digital, print, video, and event production, to concentrate on post-sale project management of integrated marketing campaigns. This evolved into a strategic function, and through an acquisition by Meredith Corp. and subsequently Dotdash, the team grew to more than twenty-five, managed thousands of programs, and developed a stellar reputation as a critical resource that equipped clients with one point of contact across multiple media brands, stakeholders, and program elements.

Meg’s experience required working with and understanding varied roles and functions, from sales and marketing to photo and video production, legal contracting, financial modeling and more. This, along with her inquisitive nature and solution-oriented enthusiasm, makes her an asset for corporate recruiting and our team at Parker Placements.

Corporate recruiter
PAUL GRONDY, CORPORATE RECRUITER

After attending DePaul University Theater school in Chicago, IL, Paul worked as an actor and supplemented his income in the retail management world. Once he found more consistent work as an actor, Paul began to study and then teach improvisational acting. As a core faculty member of the world renowned ioTheater, Paul has trained hundreds of actors the skills of communication, active listening, and collaboration (Group Dynamics). After years of experience teaching those competencies, Paul began working with The Second City Comedy Theater as a corporate facilitator, instructing CEOs and other high-level executives the skills needed to become great leaders and inclusive managers. Paul brings these skills to Parker Placements and gives all candidates the same tools executives have used to become the top performers in their respective fields.
